(Paris, KY – January 10, 2024) – Central Kentucky Heart Care is expanding its services to Paris, KY. Bourbon Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Mahmoud Abualayem, MD, to the medical staff. Dr. Abualayem will join Central Kentucky Heart Care, serving the new Paris location as well as the current Georgetown, KY office with expertise in the field of cardiology.
Dr. Abualayem specializes in ultrasounds, stress tests, monitoring, echoes, cardiac CT scans, and diagnostic heart catheterizations. He is Board-certified in Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac Computed Tomography, and Internal Medicine. He is also a registered physician in Vascular Interpretation.

Dr. Abualayem earned his medical degree from Al-Arab Medical University in Libya. He completed residency at Tripoli Medical Center in Tripoli, Libya and an Internal Medicine residency at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ and completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at New York Medical College in Newark, New Jersey.
